#8 Bray: Smile

A smile goes an extra mile when everything else fails

A happy heart makes the face cheerful...

[Proverbs 15:13]

There is nothing more that we can do when everything else fails except to smile. Smile and praise God for the sunshine. Smile and praise God because we still have the strength to carry through the day. Smile and praise God for revealing to us what makes us fail. Smile and praise God for giving us another change tomorrow to start anew. Smile the contagious smile that will cheer another person up. A smile does not cost a single thing but it surely does bring about a happier moment. 

Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

[Nehemiah 8:10]

In times when we have fail to reach our goal after so many years of working hard on it, no doubt the word failure lingers around the head, yet we shouldn't grieve. Instead, we should draw strength from the Lord. The scripture above clearly stated that for the joy of the Lord is our strength. Step on the reverse pedal. Throughout the years, we have gained much. There are many things that we can't learn through books. Experience is the best teacher and from there we're able to gauge how much we're able to absorb and make the best adaptation towards the betterment of every body. There's always a chance to start all over again. Therefore, a smile is what it takes to begin another journey in a new path. A path not taken by anyone. A journey towards the goal through a different way. 

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

[Psalm 118:24]

Everyday is a day made by our sovereign Lord, thus we should be glad to be able to go through another day no matter how bad the day is. It's not everyday that it is so bad. There are days that things are smooth sailing. Praise God in the storm and trust in Him and everything will be all right. Smile the smile that will take you an extra mile. 


Donkey, I've never give you a word of encouragement. So, I will give it to you now. No matter how much I'm against some of the things that you do, if your path is right before the Lord, stand firm on your ground no doubt it's shaky at times, do not let your focus goes astray with the many distractions in life. Stay focus and you will reach there. Never once do anything to glorify the work of your hands. Give all the glory to Him who created you.
