#3 Bray: A New Day...

Everyday is a new day if you see it in a new way

As a continuation to the #2 bray regarding a new beginning of life after ending the old one, this is about how we should face a brand new day. Many will agree with me that in their own strength, they fail to see everyday as a new day and fail completely to see it in a new way. Through human strength, we tend to fall back into the turbulence of our old days... of the ways where life was as before. We fall back into our own comfort zone no matter how uncomfortable it was and is.

Let's look at a few scriptures to find out how to live a life that is fruitful and with the courage of seeing everyday as a brand new day from a different angle.
Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ. I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans? For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not mere human beings?
[1 Corinthians 3:1-4]

Now, we shouldn't follow anyone's way of living. There are some who thought that by putting away their old self, they should follow after their friend's way of living or the lifestyle of a supermodel or superstar. It shouldn't be so as God has created each and every one of us unique no matter how imperfect we are in any other way. By looking at the wrong angle in starting a new day, it will only lead to much depression and put us in a situation worse than before we step out of it, jumping from the lion's mouth into a crocodile's mouth.

By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.
[1 Corinthians 3:10-15]

It is important how we see to our new day as it will be the foundation of our new life. On what foundation you build your house is very important to see whether it can withstand the strong wind and fire life will bring on it. The one and only foundation is that foundation built on the believe of Jesus as the Saviour. There is no other foundation other than that. The foundation built on mere human understanding and beliefs on other gods will only bring to damnation of self  and total destruction on self.

Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness”; and again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.”So then, no more boasting about human leaders! All things are yours, whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future—all are yours, and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God.
[1 Corinthians 3:18-23]

Seriously, do not deceive yourself. God is not asking you to be a fool. He wants you to make a wise decision regarding your own life. A life which belongs to Him as our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Be fools again means to lower down your own guard while reading the Word of God. No doubt anyone can argue that Jesus nor His disciples never attended schools, but the wisdom comes from God straight from Heaven. Read as what is written to you, do not be deceived by your own school of thoughts which will lead you nowhere but the joyful clapping of the Satan once you use your own thinking and understanding to comprehend the Word of God. Be wise....
