#6 Bray: Soar Like An Eagle...

I may fumble, I may stumble, but I will flutter without a gamble

To the readers, the saying above is definitely not a nursery rhyme. It's a boost to one's spirit when facing a stumbling block. You may fumble in your life, stumble and fall but with much resilience, you will flutter like a new butterfly and take off.
Now, in life, nobody has lived a perfect life where no one fumble or stumble, yet we always have to deal with situations which boggle our minds. For those who do not know Jesus, they may lead a life that's so difficult that the only way out is ending their lives. For the believers, we place our hope in Him, praising Him in the storm. We draw strength from the Lord to go through the hiccups in life.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
[Philippians 4:13]

It is not wise to use our own Human strength and push forward in life when things look so bleak, instead we should always remember the promise Jesus has given us. We're asked to...

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you
[1 Peter 5:7]

Thus, in times of trouble, we have someone to rely upon. No worldly friends can give us that promise. We may have good friends who will lend a pair of listening ears but nothing can give us the transcending peace God is able to give us. How long can a butterfly flutter? It will need to find a resting place after fluttering for a few minutes. What more us who do not even have wings to fly.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
[Philippians 4:6]

We're not to be anxious which includes to be nervous, to worry or to feel unease about anything. We should not have those negative thoughts in us. We are asked to pray and present our request in EVERY situation. God is God. We do not command Him to do things for us. Therefore, we should always be in the attitude of giving thanks and praising His Holy name. Glorifying Him and giving Him all the honour and praise due to Him. God is NOT our slave or servant. We are His subjects not the other way round. But by His grace and mercy which is sufficient everyday and the love He has for us, He will answer the ALL our prayers.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
[Matthew 6:33]

Always... always seek His kingdom and He will bless us exceedingly, abundantly. We shall never have to worry about our lives if we follow God's Word till the very dot. It will save us from a lot of heartaches, tears and even anxiety.

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
[Matthew 6:25-27]

God knows how to run our lives. We just have to put our trust in Him. We shouldn't even worry about our future as our future is in His hands.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
[Matthew 6:34]
On the other hand, we should not just be a fluttering butterfly. A butterfly can't fly high enough. A butterfly can't see the bigger picture from above, but an eagle is able to see everything as it soars high in the sky.
but those who hope in the LORD
   will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
[Isaiah 40:31]
