#2 Bray: A New Beginning...

End of the Line, or Start of a new line, we all have a line.

The threshold of life. Donkey has a low threshold of emotional pain. Thus, it has to put an immediate stop to anything that touches its raw nerves. It was like having a tooth pulled out with a pair of pliers.

No matter how low a person's threshold is, the inner man will draw strength from the Lord to start life anew. It is not easy but it is made possible through Christ who strengthen us. That is a gift from the Lord that we should give Him all praise due to Him. With the faith of a mustard seed, we're able to move mountains. Over here, we're not talking about the physical mountain that you see from outside your window. That mountain is the strongman in your life - the one gripping you so badly until it hinders you from growing spiritually and feeling ashamed to praise the Lord openly. Many people, without realizing it, has lived a life ought not to live. Many have walked the path of being a Peter. Peter who disowned Jesus three times before the cock crows. Peter who declared that even if he had to die with Jesus, he would never disown Him. Within a short period of making that huge declaration, it was more like sounding an empty gong as Peter did as what Jesus had predicted. He wept bitterly. He was remorseful but NOT repentant. It's the same with Donkey. Donkey might  feel hurt after hurting another person, but when the person retaliated without Donkey's realization, Donkey became upset. Upset but not repentant as Donkey got up and continue with the same old self.

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
[Ephesians 4:22-24]
It is up to every individual whether to give one the opportunity to start a new life and put an end to the old one. One can also choose to continue living the old life and make history repeats itself.

Donkey, do you remember a man who wrote nasty comments on your Facebook wall at the end of year 2009? I stood by your side without knowing whether that comment made was the truth or not. That was because I had faith in you that you weren't like that. Then, a few months back when you posted that you had received a defamation letter to one of the schools that you are helping for 7 long years, again I trusted that you wouldn't be that bad. Instead of becoming your friend, I have become your greatest virtual enemy. If you've really meant what you said, that no comments from the others would make you falter, you wouldn't have visited my personal blog so often. You must have read and reread the Donkey Wisdom countless times. You may not feel anything because you don't know how much you've destroyed a person with your own action. In anger, do not sin. You committed a murder that night. I hope you understand the Ten Commandments well regarding murder. You let history repeats itself so many times. If your personal life reflects an equal to your professional life, none of that would happen. But no, you chose to continue with your old self.

I agree with Donkey to start a new line. But start it as how God wants it to be. Throw away the old self that gives so much problems in our lives. Again, the most important thing to start anything with is....
