#7 Bray: Of Failure and Love...

Failure is only a lesson learnt, I will be better next time.

Everyone should learn from their mistakes. Failure is a stepping stone towards success. Failure is also one of the best teachers you can ever find in life. Analysing and dissecting the reason why we fail will make us better next time. That is indeed true. There are people who make the same mistakes repeatedly so much so that they term themselves as a mistake-magnet. Now, by repeating the same mistakes every single time will not make you better next time, it will dampen your spirit and sooner or later, you will give up any hope that's left in it.

There's always two sides of a coin. To prevent us from moving backwards, it is high time that we view a failure holistically. Analysing and discussing our failures with someone who are worthy to be trusted and wise in their age will give us the boost that we needed when we falter in life. There's nothing to be ashamed of.

The biggest boost and words of encouragement comes from our Creator which we must acknowledge.

“Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD is finished.
[1 Chronicles 28:20]

I remember Donkey sent me the Footprints in the Sand when I was totally down in the dumps.
... and Donkey also gave me the boost without him realizing that I was on the verge of committing suicide... Donkey sent me Psalm 91 which I am forever grateful to him.
Never give up as failure can do anything to you but can never take your life away from you. It depends on how you view your failure. Either take a bold positive step to make a change forward or be stagnant and wallow in self-pity, weeping over steps you shouldn't take and torturing yourself mentally with steps that you should take.

Sew this verse into your heart...

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
[1 Corinthians 13:8]
It's the greatest love of God that keeps us going even in times of failure.
